When visiting Kassandra, Halkidiki, the Byzantine Tower of Nea Fokea is a historical monument you must see. Also known as St. Paul’s Tower, this impressive stone structure was built in 1407 to protect the local farming estate of the Mount Athos monasteries.
Standing at 17 meters tall on a rocky hill right next to the sea, it completely dominates the beautiful harbor of the village.
According to local tradition, the Apostle Paul hid in the caves beneath the tower. Today, it is one of the most photographed and recognizable landmarks in Halkidiki. It is an easy drive from Evridiki Hotel in Fourka, offering a great opportunity for a morning trip.
Visitors can enjoy a walk around the picturesque marina, eat fresh fish at the local taverns, and take amazing photos of the sea.

They gave us umbrella and a fridge bag for the beach and guided us to the best local places. The rooms are very clean and our towels were changed regularly. There is a bar by the pool with a very pleasant slow music that works up to 12:30 - perfect for parents!"

All hours of parking were available despite the fullness. Easily accessible by foot to the beach. The disadvantages were that the ovens were a little far, but despite that, there was the option of breakfast at the hotel bar from 9 am, and that in the rooms with a view of the pool you could not sit on the balcony due to the sun. From noon onwards, the view was breathtaking. ☺️ We stayed for almost 10 days. The hotel's price was extremely affordable compared to others with far fewer amenities.
Mr. Yiannis, Evi, Christos, and Evridiki, thank you for everything ❤️"

The swimming pool is a great addition, especially if you want to unwind after a day at the beach. Although the hotel is officially rated as two stars, it deserves a much higher rating based on the quality of the service, cleanliness, and overall experience.

A big plus, they clean the room and change the towels and bedsheets often. The rooms are not big, not new, but clean.
Ac works well. The kitchenette is really using maximum for a pasta.
The beach is near, but we didn't use it, it was overcrowded. But you can go to several beaches around 5-20 min by car."

Everything is in perfect order: garden, rooms, pools. Yes pools, big with depth from 1,5 to 2,6 metrs. Sunshades and comfortably deckchairs are next to the pool. There is a bar where you can order your drinks and even eat breakfast, pizza... Hotel also have private parking. Only thing that can be little better are beds. Owners (Evy and Yanis) are in hotel every day, working non-stop to meet your every wish.
Beach is around 200m from hotel. You are passing through few quiet streets.
Strongest impression was smell. I don't have words to describe that perfect mix from pine forest and sea. Both are just few hundrent meters from hotel. If you walk 5 minutes thru forest trail you would see the most beautifull sunset ever. It's a real natural magic."

This was my first time staying in Fourka, about one hour outside of Thessaloniki on the first leg in Chalkidiki. The owners, Gianni and Evi, are wonderful and helpful. They have two children that help in the mornings, setting up the tables, vases, chairs, etc. Gianni is always around and managing the bar/restaurant area all hours of the day! Great pool and there is even free WiFi!!! A nice touch. The rooms are simple and clean, classic "horyo" or village-style hotel rooms: small shower with wash handle; nice kitchenette, comfy beds; CRT television with limited channels; nice patio; clean! Nice prices and worth the stay. I like the frappe for two euros, very respectable. The city center/beach area is a simple 7-10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel sits on the main street coming into the city, so it is easy to find. Enjoy and say hello!"

Shortly, I have to say that I've spent my first vacation in Evridiki hotel in June 2011. Than, I came again in June 2012. And again in June 2013. So figure it out how bad it is over there :)
Since I come with my husband and three kids, I always take two bedroom apartment. Rooms are big, cleaned on every 3 days, with sheets and towels change. There is an air conditioner, which is working if the balcony door is not opened, like everywhere I've been before. Nights are fresh so we never used air conditioner while sleeping, and we always had a good night sleep. Bathroom is big and clean. Kitchen is equipped with enough stuff to make something cooked or fried.
Pool is grate especially for kids and husbands that never get mature. They are jumping and playing water polo. Poolside is great for mums to get rest while drinking Nes-frappe, looking their kids enjoying water, sun and life :)
And the owners... They are great people. Working through whole day and late in the evening, maintaining the pool, garden, reception, bar... And still, they are cool: young, smiling and there for you whenever you need them. If there is anything you don't like in the room, or you do not have enough forks or something like that, just tell them-it is to be solved in a minute.
The beach is near, huge, sandy and not crowded, so you can let your kids make sand castles, play volleyball, go for swimming, or search for shells. What is more important-you can do that with them :) And the sunsets... The most beautiful I've ever seen!
So, if you want to fill up your batteries for the whole year, I really recommend this hotel, and this place."

We didnt go back because Id heard the hosts (it was them that made it a little special) had moved to the newer hotel over the road to this one. But people are still mentioning them from last year so I guess I was wrong. When ever we go away, on an evening, we normally do a tour of the bars of the area. But the Owners of this hotel were excellent so we found ourselves gravitating back there by nine most nights. It wasnt just us either, lots of guests did the same. Its a fantastic and welcoming hotel. The owners are the busiest people I have ever seen. they were the first ones up and the last ones to bed. I dont know how they did it. Rooms were basic but if your like us it wont matter, the most we do is make tea or coffee), rooms are clean, poolside is spotless and the bar stayed open till the last person left for bed. Oh and the safe's were on the reception which for me is better than in the room as it was a 24 hour reception. I hope to go back there this year in September."

"Mold on the rooms, two of our children went allergic. Pool not clean, water came out on the floor when flushing. We changed hotel after the first night, the owner demand that we paid half the price even if the children went sick, "It´s not my problem" he said.
